Since 2004, Ariel Drama Academies has grown from a single drama class into a thriving network of seven respected, non-franchise academies across Sussex. As a family-run, community-focused Saturday drama academy, we believe every child matters and that theatre should be accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for all.

We welcome children of all backgrounds to join us each week to develop their creativity, confidence, communication, and teamwork skills in a supportive and professional environment. We are also pleased to welcome home-educated students, for whom our sessions can provide valuable opportunities for social interaction and collaborative learning through the performing arts.

Ariel offers exceptional, inclusive and affordable training in Drama, Singing and Dance for children and young people of all ages and abilities. Our professional tutors deliver engaging classes in all three disciplines, culminating in a spectacular annual showcase for each academy at a professional theatre.

Ariel Buddy System

Supportive Starts, Lifelong Friendships

Starting something new can feel overwhelming, so at Ariel, we’ve created a welcoming Buddy System to help ease the transition. Every new student is paired with a friendly, experienced Buddy who offers guidance, answers questions, and provides reassurance during those all-important first sessions.

​

Our Buddy System also extends to more experienced students who are keen to volunteer. These students can choose to support our youngest performers—the Hamlets—or work alongside our Othellos, students with special educational needs. This initiative is especially popular among older students working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards, offering a meaningful way to gain leadership experience while giving back to the Ariel community.
